Natural Hair...Healthy hair...Black Hair...My Hair

Why go Natural!

So I have been battling my hair and skin issues since I was a little girl... I have had numerous styles from finger waves , Jerry Curls (yes with the activator Juice and alll), bald fade (my kindergarten graduation what was my mom thinking) to micros, kinky twists, french braids, cornrows to cheap and expensive weaves. I spend sooo much money on hair care products its becoming a part of my monthly spending budget.

Now I know you gals may be wondering why I am telling you this...my last weave (which ppl who don't see me on a regular didn't know wasn't my hair) cost about $300.00 for the hair alone and I visited the www.theweaveshop.com/georgia to get in sewed in for about $70.00. So now that is close to $400.00 every 2 months I was spending just to get my hair done not including the different products I was using to help maintain the naturally curly curls of the weave (i.e. mix chics $25.00/bttl and other experimental products)

A coworker sister had been doing her natural hair for some time now and I enjoy rubbing my fingers through her hair when its freshly done. It generally stays that way for about a good week and half before her natural oils begin to penetrate her hair. So I've tried Tamu @ www.urbanbella.net twice already and I am very impressed that she manages to straighten my coarse hair leaving it shiny and bouncy. She clipped my ends and now I feel like I can start fresh with a new do! A bob...however the front part of my hair is still partially damaged from the weaves and processing of that portion to blend with the weaves so its still hard to stray away from a few pieces of inexpensive tracks for the bangs!

With all of that said, my New Years resolution was to go ALL NATURAL...No more fake lashes! (instead I started using Latisse to grow out my natural lashes). No more weaves! (I am going to try very hard to maintain a natural hair style, but remember I have thick, coarse hair aka Nappy), and last of all I want to have clear acne free skin!

Thus, I would like suggestions on natural hair hair care and skin products for an African American 24 year old lady to utilize.

XOXO,
Poor little rich girlz
